General Description
Jozini is one of the few locations in South Africa for amethyst / agate geodes and plate like specimens! They tend to be mostly circular with a small % being more complex vug like crystalline specimens. The quartz sometimes has goethite inclusions. The colour intensity ranges from white optic to cloudy, and pale to dark amethyst! Not perhaps as nice as the Kwaggafontein material, but very attractive! Sometimes best to cut to display or remove excess matrix. Mining in the region has always been challenging! Price is grade dependant. Items are as shown.Product Data
